Go Vandals!

We have talked about taking the kids up to a Vandal's game for years.  This summer we looked up their schedule with the Clarks (who live in Moscow) and found a weekend that U of I was playing WSU in Pullman at Martin Stadium (a way better stadium than the Kibbie Dome).  And we actually ended up doing it!  We road tripped up one Friday, hit the Vandal Store for some gear, the boys hit the Club for a tub, and we BBQ'd at the Clark's that night.  They have this great house kind of on the outside of town with a gorgeous view of the Palouse.  The weather was so nice!  It did not hold out, however.  The next day the game was at 11:00, which meant tailgating started at 8:30.  It was COLD and rainy!!  But don't we all look cute in our Vandal gear?!  Thank goodness we brought some garbage bags into the game because we got soaked.  But we did get to see the Vandals lead by 3!  That didn't hold either.  At half time we headed back to the tailgating spot, and never made it back in.  We went to the Clark's restaurant Birch & Barley for some epic bloody mary's and to finish watching the game on TV.  On the way back from the game, we stopped off at the University Inn so Brian and I could relive our glory days in the Convention Center.  Then back to the Clark's to warm up in the hot tub, eat some dinner, and the adults hit the Club one last time.  We had a great weekend.  Go Vandals!
