Carson is SEVEN!

Our huggy buggy has turned 7!!!  Here he is from 6 to 7...

Carson at SEVEN....
  • He loves school (mostly), but hates homework!!  When he gets home from school, he just wants to play, which I can understand.  But a worksheet that he could do in 5 minutes, can take an hour because of the giant fit he throws instead of just getting it done!  Drives me crazy. Let's hope he grows out of that?!
  • He still loves to play with his "guys."  These guys could be anything from Star Wars action figures to McDonald's toy guys to Lego figures.  He can play for hours just "talking" his guys. This is how he winds down every night in his bed.
  • He is becoming a great little reader! Although, he does not read for entertainment (yet).  Maybe next year?
  • I think the girls in his class this year really liked him (and who wouldn't).  He came home with several love notes and pictures.  One girl even made him a pillow (out of felt and staples)! Valentine's Day was hilarious.  He seems to just shrug it off, but I think he kinda likes it.  :)
  • His nickname is still Hulk due to the fits he can still throw with the best of them.  Maybe it's getting less?  I (secretly) say that even with two sisters, he's the biggest drama queen in our house.
  • He does not like to put away his laundry.  This can reduce him to tears in an instant, especially if he doesn't realize there's laundry to put away until bedtime. However, he is the most consistent and complains the least about doing his chores.  Go figure.
  • Carson gets hangry.  Don't even try to reason with him if he's hungry.  Or tired.  Kid needs his beauty rest!
  • He loves to play with his sisters and his friends.  He loves video games....Disney Infinity, Minecraft, and the Wii.
  • He and Aubrey are still best buddies.  He tolerates Charlotte and occasionally is really sweet with her.  But he and Aubrey can play for hours together!  They still love to play pretend, play games, or make projects together.  And neither of them has ever said a word about wanting their own bedroom.  I'll be so sad when that day comes!
  • Carson loves:  screen time, playing soccer games (not practice so much), creating things, getting tickled, basketball, Pokemon cards, his blankets, sleeping in, throwing the football with his dad, anything with caramel syrup, his family, down time, Legos, pickles, basketball shorts, teasing his sisters, occasional cuddles with mom, weapons, magic poo sugar (sorry, TMI) and all things Star Wars.
Happy birthday, Carson!  We love you!!
