I'm happy to report, that it was a big success! Itineraries went out about a week before the trip, and once we all got there, the FUN began! I'm going to break the trip up into more manageable posts, but here is a look at how it began....
ROAD TRIP! It took us almost exactly 10 hours (including a couple quick stops). The kids did great. They kept entertained by movies, "car surprises" (small gifts I wrap up and dole out at certain spots along the map....note the glasses!), coloring, and iPad games!
We got there late Saturday evening. After grabbing some dinner and finding our townhouse, we were ready to crash! We didn't, however. After getting the children to stop bouncing off the walls (literally), we put them to bed and then hung out with the adults that were already there. We had two townhouses rented that were right next to each other (for the four siblings and their families). We ended up staying up until Kacee and Bryan got there at about midnight.....as I discovered, sleep was not a high priority this trip.....
The next day, we went over to Steve and Bethanne's house that they have in St. George. They made us all an omelet brunch. Bummed I didn't get any pictures there because it is in such a beautiful location!! After brunch, we all loaded up and went BOWLING! Look at that group!!!
Side note: My brother Masen is on a mission for his church and, therefore, couldn't attend the reunion. My mom thought it would be a great idea (and hilarious) to make a life size cardboard cut-out of him to bring along. We had some fun with cardboard Masen....haha!
We ended the night at Golden Corral! Where better to feed 40+ people?!
