The kids (especially Aubrey and Carson) were sooooo excited for our little elf Blizzard to come back this year! After we got home from St. George, Blizzard made his first appearance. And all month they loved searching for him each morning and wondering about where he'd be tomorrow and what he'd been talking to Santa each night as he flew to the North Pole. I love kids! Blizzard kept it pretty low key this year, but he was a hit as usual!
You may have noticed that Charlotte was missing in the gingerbread photos in the post before. Well, the week before Christmas break Aubrey got the flu! It came out of nowhere.....one minute she was fine and playing, the next she was puking. UGH! She missed a couple days of school and was pretty out of it. I was just waiting for it to go through all of us.....but never did, never did......until a whole week later, while I was in the middle of painting her fingernails, Charlotte yacked! She threw up and had diarrhea about 10 times in 4 hours! Poor thing. (That was while the other kids were doing gingerbread houses....) Then sure enough, Christmas Eve comes around and Carson is puking!! Whaaaaa! Thankfully, everyone was well enough to enjoy Christmas day (I was so worried!) We did, however, share with the Jensens (SORRY!) and then Brian and I both got it two days after Christmas. Ugh, again.
