We always try to get together with a couple of Brian's friends from high school that still live in town. Some years it works out, some not. But we were able to get together with his friend Nathan, his wife Jamie, and their daughter Ivy. They live about a two minute walk from the lake and the dock where they keep their pontoon boat, affectionately named Soggy Bottom (we soon learned why the name). We had such a fun day! We cruised around the lake, parked at a secluded beach area to play for a bit, then drove over to Dover Bay to eat dinner at a cute little restaurant right off the water. As we were sitting outside about ready to eat, a storm blew in out of no where! The next thing we knew the waitresses were rushing us inside, and clearing the deck in record time. It stormed for a bit while we ate dinner inside. Of course, we had driven the boat there, and still had to drive it about 25 minutes back to Nathan's dock.
As you can see from the pictures, the boat ride home started out kind of fun. Every time we hit a big wave (which was about every 5-10 seconds) water would slosh over the sides and spray everyone and everything. The bottom of the boat must've had a foot of water on it at one point (soggy bottom). About 10 minutes into the ride, the spraying of the cold water at 8:00 at night got old. Charlotte was not one bit amused. But we made it safely, and all-in-all it was a great day on the lake!

OK, those last few pictures of the soggy bottom boat ride home were my favorites. Aubrey is clearly no longer amused by the rough water!! So funny!! Looks like such a fun trip. I'll be looking forward to seeing your last 100 pictures! :)
