One rite of passage at the cabin, is jumping off the high dive. Both kids did it last year, after much to-do. This year started off much the same.....lots of talking about it, lots of waiting at the top of the high dive, lots of countdowns, etc.
In the end, Aubrey jumped off first with Brian, and then by herself several times. By the last night there, she was jumping off over and over and over.....
Carson never quite got up the nerve this year. He never really committed that he wanted to do it. He did climb up once with Brian, but changed his mind.... He did do lots of jumping off the dock, however, and left feeling perfectly fine about it. Although when he saw me uploading these pictures he just said, "I should've jumped off the high dive." Next year Buddy! And Charlotte and I cheered everyone on right from the safety of the dock! :)
