4th of July

We headed up to Garden Valley a few days after we got home from St. George for our weekend(ish) of celebrating the 4th of July!  The Seegers, us, and the Rythers headed up a day early, then the Clarks came down the next day.  We had a couple super fun days hanging at the cabin, floating the river, and hitting up the Dirty Shame for the infamous tots!  Then the McKinleys came up the morning of the 3rd and we had decided to head to Redfish Lake that day.  The boys hit the road early so they could fish along the way.  The ladies got a later start and brought lunch and stuff to BBQ for dinner.  However, when we got to Redfish there was about 1 million people and literally NO room. So we played in the lake a little, ate lunch, and headed back to the cabin.

Everyone seriously upped their game for outfits on the 4th this year!  The guys looked hilarious! Crouch had been announcing for months that they were no longer allowing fireworks in town like they have for the last several years (all the chaos).  So we didn't really know what to expect this year, but it was definitely less chaotic.  Which was mostly good, but WAY less people watching and not quite the same crazy feel.  So we hit the parade and went to the Shame for a bit and then headed home for sparklers and hanging around the campfire.  Brian and Tyler Seeger weren't able to come up this year because of their summer jobs, but they somehow got the 4th off and headed up and surprised everyone!

We all had a great time!  It's always such a fun weekend(ish) that we look forward to all year!  Happy 4th of July!
