Hawaii: Day 6

Day 6 we got up and rented some beach cruiser bikes and took an awesome ride along the coast.  After some lunch, we decided to head west!  We debated driving up to Waimea Canyon, and I'm sure the views would've been great, but the long, windy drive deterred us.  Instead, we loaded up our jeep and headed to the beach!  The beaches in the west are so different and so cool!  They are just these huge, open beaches.  We drove our jeep across the sand right to a spot we could just hang.  And there were hardly any people!  We had so much fun!!  We just played in the water, boogie boarded, and just relaxed.  We also saw a ton of whales!  Poor Brian lost his contacts in a pretty epic boogie boarding crash, so he couldn't see a thing.  But the rest of us enjoyed the views.  Beth also informed us that seeing a sunset on the west beaches was an item on her bucket list....so we ended up staying till the sun went down!  Unfortunately, some cloud cover made for an underwhelming sunset, but the hours of just hanging out and playing were well worth it!  I wanna go back!!
