The day after we got there, we planned to celebrate Lyn's birthday. Jenn and I took her for pedicures and some girl time. Then the party was set for that afternoon. Tom and Lyn's friends came and Lyn's sister and some of her kids and grandkids. It was another gorgeous day, and we got to enjoy the water and sun! Lyn had requested the grandkids put on a play. So Aubrey had quite the script planned. She assigned parts and whipped those little kids into shape for the big production! It all centered around a family competing in different events trying to win the opportunity to give the queen gifts for her 60th birthday. It was darling. And all the grandkids gave Lyn the homemade gifts they had made for her.
After the play and dinner, the kids all begged to be taken on a troll hunt. Some of the adults obliged, and took all the kids to search for those sneaky trolls. We didn't find any again this year.
But is was a super fun day, and I know Grandma Lyn had a great time.
