July....the exact opposite of June. Routines and schedules slowly fade away. And as crazy as it always is, it's also so much FUN!!
July started off with a bang.....the 4th of July! After our 4th of July breakfast, we decorated bikes and the neighbor Amy decorated faces. We actually took a little too much time decorating, and missed the neighborhood bike parade (oops!), but we did make it to the park for lunch, games and lots of playing.
After the neighborhood party, we headed up to the Seeger's cabin in Garden Valley about an hour away. The kids had a BLAST playing. We headed into town for the parade and fireworks, and oh my. It was pure pandemonium! We got absolutely SOAKED at the parade. Then everyone just brings their own fireworks to the main street in town and lets them off. The pictures don't do justice to actually how nuts it was! After an hour or so, we headed back to the cabin for s'mores and bed! We played a little the next day and then headed for home. Super fun 4th of July!!
