Trip to the North Pole!

The kids have been SO excited to go on our train ride to the North Pole again this year. And wouldn't you know it, the Polar Express was going to be departing from Horseshoe Bend, Idaho, headed for the North Pole, on the day after Thanksgiving! The entire family that was still in town (all 24 of us) booked tickets on the train as soon as we heard the news! The hour and a half ride on the train to the North Pole flew by in a flash, with all the cousins and snacks, and the surprise visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus during the ride. The kids each had a chance to talk it up with Santa and were prepared for sitting on his lap and telling him what they want for Christmas this year.
Aubrey told him she wants a Wonder Woman doll and a doll that looks like her (Aubrey, not Wonder Woman). Carson told Santa he wants legos and more legos! Charlotte just stared and stared at Santa.  She didn't cry, in fact we even got a smile out of her!  However, later when we tried to get an all cousin picture she did cry for a minute when we handed her back to him.  As usual though, Charlotte was a trooper!  We rode the train right through her nap, then we forgot to feed her on the way back (poor, poor third child)!
It was pretty strange that it hadn't snowed in the North Pole yet this year, but it was still plenty chilly! So chilly, in fact, that we were all glad to get back on the Polar Express to the hot chocolate on our ride home. It was quite a fun trip!

And later that night, I had to force my Grandma to let me take a picture with her in it.  My sweet Grandma and Grandpa Andersen.....loved having them here for a whole week!
