We got up early (again) day #5 so we could hit the road for Universal Studios! Everyone got a little car sick (?) on the drive over, so by the time we got to Universal we were ready to be there. We parked and headed straight for Harry Potter! Hogsmeade is quite the draw at Universal! It was already quite busy by the time we got there. We decided to go to Ollivander's first to get the kids outfitted with their wands. That was cool! Aubrey was chosen from our group to work with the sorcerer to find the perfect wand. It was awesome! And so glad our biggest Harry Potter fan was the one chosen. Then the other two got to pick their wands from the rest of the store.....Carson went with the Rowan wand and Charlotte picked Hermione's wand. They got to do real spells all throughout the town! They really do have it set up just like a little town. It was really cool. A definite must for HP fans!! We visited the castle, ate lunch and had YUMMY butterbeers at Three Broomsticks, got chocolate frogs at Honeydukes, and we rode the roller coaster Flight of the Hippogriff about 23 times. We finally forced ourselves to venture out to the rest of Universal....only because we promised we'd come back first thing tomorrow!
We decided to do the Universal Studio Tour, which was pretty cool. We rode some other rides and saw some sights, but decided to call it a day early since we knew we'd be back the next day. We went and had dinner on the Universal City Walk and checkout out a few shops. Then we actually got back to our hotel early enough to swim! The kids and Brian swam and hot tubbed before we crashed for the night....our last night in a hotel!
