We hopped up bright and early again on our last morning (this was NOT a sleeping-in kind of vacation)! We headed straight to Harry Potter world! It was just as much fun the second day! We actually went on the Harry Potter ride....Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and it was WAY cool! We rode the Flight of the Hippogriff another 36 times, and then again, made ourselves go explore the rest of Universal! It was cool! The lines were nothing like Disney, so we moved pretty quickly. A lot of the rides at Universal are 3D simulator-type "rides." Those aren't my favorite type of rides (or my stomachs), but they were fun and the kids loved them. We also saw some really cool shows! We saw the Water World show, a show about special effects in movies, and a show about training animals for movies. After running around doing our "one last" everything...it was time to go. We had to drive to the airport, return our rental car, and our flight left at about 8:00 PM....well I should say was supposed to leave at 8:00.....it ended up being delayed by over an hour and we didn't get home until after midnight! We took a "recovery day" the next day....
But what a trip! We really did have the best time. I feel like our kids were at such a perfect age for doing it...old enough to do (almost) everything, but young enough to still enjoy the simple things. We didn't have to worry about naps or strollers, but didn't have to try and entertain teenagers either. It was awesome. My family is awesome. Now onto planning where to go next....
