Finally, THE day arrived! Halloween was on a Friday this year, which was really fun! Charlotte and I got to go into the kids' Halloween parties at school, which I've never been able to do before because I've always been putting on a Halloween party for my classroom. After school, the kids came home and we ate an early dinner of jack-o-lantern pizzas! We then started getting into costumes! Our neighbor and friend Amy (who is also a talented artist) said she'd do the kids' face painting. They were SO excited since they had already seen my meager attempts. And they looked so awesomely creepy!!! The frightening skeleton and zombie and the darling princess....
Our neighborhood was so fun for trick-or-treating! SO many kids and families out, and the weather was PERFECT! I took the kids around this year with some of their friends and other moms. Brian stayed home to pass out candy in his Jack Skellington shirt while blasting scary music. There were some fun houses on our street, our favorite was the house that turned their whole garage into a dance party! After a little persuasion, the kids rocked out there for a while. Charlotte didn't last the whole night, so I took her home to Brian while a few of us hit a couple more houses! We had a ton of fun and were exhausted and SO glad the next day was Saturday!
