Christmas Eve

The fun continued the next day with Christmas Eve!  Brian finally convinced the kids to watch The Christmas Story with him again this year (which I think they're starting to secretly love).  Then before we headed over to grandma's we let the kids open the presents that they bought each other.  We've started taking them to the dollar store to let them each pick out and buy two things for each sibling.  I swear, I don't know if it's just because it's the first presents they get to open, or if it's the fact that they picked them out especially for each other, but they LOVE opening these presents and watching each other open the presents!!  It really is so sweet.

Then I made them pose for a couple pictures in front of the tree before we left....Charlotte was not cooperating very well....  And Brian put on his favorite Christmas sweatshirt that we got at a gift exchange a couple years ago.  It was so hideous and the kids were rightfully repulsed.

Then we headed to grandma's for tamales and games!  We played our own version of Pass the Pigs, and everyone ended up with a super fun prize.

And then home to sprinkle the reindeer dust they had made.  And it was actually SNOWING!  The kids were SOOOOO excited for a white Christmas!  Then off to their sleepover in Aubrey and Carson's room!  They came down about 10 minutes later and reminded us that we had forgotten to set out cookies, milk, and carrots!!  Man, a close call!  And then much to our surprise, they fell right to sleep!?!  For reals.

And finally, a couple pictures taken sometime after Santa's visit....  He hooked us up!!
