At Paramount Elementary, they learn about six different character traits throughout the year. Each month or so the teachers get to select one student that they feel exemplifies the current character trait. Aubrey was chosen by her teachers for the character trait of Fairness. She was super excited, and we were very proud. It really is such a perfect award for her....she always wants things to be fair for everyone and she is really able to see that "fair" is not always the same for everyone. She has a very good sense of what people are feeling and what they need. She's pretty sweet.
They had a big assembly for the whole school and all the families of the recipients. And although I don't think she smiled once while in front of the audience, I think she was pretty happy. Way to go, Monkey!
