Carson is SIX

Our little buggy turned SIX!  A quick look back at some of my favorite pictures of Carson from 5 to 6....

Carson at SIX:

• Dare I say, Carson is losing a bit of his out-of-control ornery-ness?!  He can still melt down at the drop of a hat, but it doesn't seem to happen quite as often anymore.  I have a feeling SIX is going to be a good year!  Although we do still call him the Hulk (and that should give you a great picture in your head of what one of his fits looks like).
• He is SO excited about learning to read.  He loves to point out all the words he can read, and when we got him his own book that he could read "all by himself," he must have read it 20 times the first day!
• He is very sensitive.  Gets very teary if he gets his feelings hurt or embarrassed....that little bottom lip gets quivering.
• That kid can entertain himself better than anyone I know.  He'll play with his guys, legos, tinker toys, knights, army men, etc. for literally hours.  Sometimes he wants his sisters to play with him, but mostly just wants some "alone time."  And I LOVE to listen to him (secretly of course).  Those sound effects...
• He loves to draw and create.  His pictures are the best!  I want to keep every picture he makes....except he makes about 10 per day.  My children are personally responsible for killing a small forest.
• He still has a super-human sense of smell.  He LOVES when I wash his blankets (some days begs me to) so he can sit there and smell them.  He takes a "hit" off his blankets each morning before he gets out of bed.  For real.
• Takes great pleasure in fighting with and annoying his sisters.  But then can turn around and be the sweetest brother.
• Will only smile with his mouth shut.
• Has the most contagious laugh.  Laughs so hard he cries.
• Has inherited his mother's belching talent.  (Only those who know me well know of this talent, but I have to say it's pretty impressive.)  I hope he uses it well.
• He can still be my cuddly momma's boy, although it's getting less and less... :((
• Carson loves:  gum, potty talk, making people laugh, his blankets, doing projects, his guys, any and all weapons, school, recess, playing soccer, his family, superheroes and villains, being outside, playdates, scotch tape, and weekends. 

We love you buddy and are SO happy you were born!
