Here are a couple shots from our many trips to different parks.....
Look at those darling little 2 year-olds!!

Aubrey and Ella in a "girl sandwich!" We made these every night after baths.

I love this funny-face picture!

Waiting for their after-bath treat. I love all those little nude bums!

BOWLING! Although the kids did enjoy the bowling, I'm pretty sure they had more fun pretending to play on the driving video games and sneaking candy from the machines!

Aubrey insisted on bringing her princess purse to the bowling alley that day. I wasn't really sure why until we got there and noticed her passing out quarters from her purse to all the kids to buy candy from the machines!! It was actually really cute. She brought one quarter for all the cousins.

Many snacks, lunches, and dinners were eaten at the little table this summer!
In the midst of all the fun, Carson had his first dentist appointment! He was so brave. I really didn't think he would even let them look at his teeth. But he was very good and let them take x-rays, do an exam, and clean his teeth. They kept saying, "I can't believe he's only 2!"

We spent many a day at Roaring Springs this summer! Here's Aubrey going down the "green slide." By the end of the summer both Aubrey and Carson had gotten very brave and were doing all the slides in the kids' section.

Side note: Kacee and I did not purposely buy Aubrey and Ella the same swimming suit, but boy were they excited when they realized they had the same PINK suit! There were several tears on the days that one or the other of them wore the wrong suit!
Our day at Wahooz, formerly known as Boondocks and still referred to by our children as Boonies.
Ok, so she couldn't quite steer. She just kept turning one direction and going in circles for the entire time! When the ride was over, she couldn't quite get herself back to the dock......
The next time out, she rode with Ella who could steer them around a little better. Carson also got to ride as a passenger with his cousin Tyler.

We were so excited this year to learn that Aubrey and Ella were both tall enough to drive the bumper boats! (Yes, Ella is one year and 3 months older than Aubrey, but Aubrey is a good 2 inches taller!)
Here is Aubrey on her first trip out on the bumper boats.

She appeared slightly humiliated that the worker had to come rescue her and haul her boat back in.

Neither of them loved being squirted by the other boaters.

Carson's favorite part of our day was playing the arcade games. He could seriously pretend to play the driving and motorcycle games all day!

Shortly after this picture was taken, Spencer was so busy waving at us that he crashed full-speed into another car and they were slammed into the side rail. Surprisingly, Aubrey did still manage to enjoy the rest of the ride; however, it was her last spin on the go carts....
Is there something wrong with 2 year-olds shooting machine guns??
And of course we did LOTS of swimming in Grandma's pool!! Earlier in the summer Aubrey and Carson both took swimming lessons at the YMCA (Carson's was a mommy and me......what was I thinking??) Although neither of them are actually "swimming" yet, I do think it helped them get more comfortable in the water and can now both put their faces in the water.

I am so behind on commenting on all of your catch up posts! You were certainly busy this summer, and I am impressed with how many activities you crammed in. :) Sweet kids.
