Balloons over Boise

Last weekend Boise held a hot air balloon festival, Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic. They launched hundreds of balloons each morning from Ann Morrison Park downtown. Apparently the launches were quite spectacular (we never quite made it down there by 7:00 am). But on Saturday evening we headed down to see some balloons and play at the park.

Finally the sun started going down and they were ready to show off some balloons!

The kids were impressed. However, it started getting a little late, they were getting a little restless, and we had promised them we would get some ice cream on our way home.......so before long, they were ready to leave. We left before most of the balloons were up and before you could really see them glow in the night, but it was still pretty cool. Maybe next year they'll be up for the whole show!
