Last October Aubrey started a ballet & tap dance class. She was super excited about it at first. However, that excitement soon waned. I'm not sure if it was the fact that we had to rush home on Wednesdays, hurry throw some dinner down, and hustle to get dressed and out the door, or if it was the fact that she was a little unsure of herself and got embarrassed easily in class, or if she just isn't interested in dancing. Whatever the reasons, several months ago she decided she did NOT like dance anymore. I pretty much forced her to finish out the "year." The last several Wednesdays there have been tears and everything before class (good times). So last Saturday was her spring recital. The funny thing is she has always been excited about the recitals......which you would think would make her nervous. But she was very excited for her performance and even more excited that several family members and friends (including her cherished cousin Callie) were going to come watch her.
The performance was great! She was excited, she was up there doing all (ok most) the moves, she even smiled a time or two! And of course, she looked just darling! Our seats were way in the back, so the pictures aren't that great. (We didn't want to stand in line for 3 hours to get good seats........not joking. Some of those "stage parents" are crazy!) Anyway, here is our tiny dancer.......
Coming out on stage.....

Well she looks just darling! Those skinny arms!!! It is like a blast from the past looking at those numbers. And also the present...Ruby has her identical build, just not so tall.
She looks so pretty!
