More Birthday Fun

Having spring "teacher babies" sure was nice for backing up my maternity leave to summer vacation; however, celebrating two birthdays in three weeks is a little exhausting!!

Our sweet Aubrey Rose is four years old......and we've had lots of fun celebrating her birth.

First up, taking birthday treats to preschool! Aubrey and Carson "helping" make the cupcakes........

Our rainbow cupcakes.......

Bringing them to share with all her friends at preschool.......

Next up, making her birthday cake. Thanks again for all the "help"........

The finished product.......
Aubrey was excited, except she really wanted to make sure that her Barbie shirt and Sleeping Beauty crown were going to go back to their rightful owners after the party......

I decided to try out the idea of rotating every other year between having just a small, family birthday "party" and having an invite-friends-crazy-party. So this year we did the small family party. It was really nice......way less stressful for me, and Aubrey was perfectly happy. I think I'll try to carry on this idea for years to come.......
Here she is blowing out the candles.....

Posing with the cake.....
Carson enjoying the cake. He was a little upset all evening over it not being his birthday, his cake, his presents, etc......

Now for some present opening.........

Carson testing out the "birthday crown"......

The next day was her actual birthday. So, we got to do some more celebrating.......

She even found some presents sent from out of town Grandmas and Grandpas!

After opening all those presents, she couldn't wait to start playing with them all!!

Happy Birthday Loo!
