After we'd been living at my mom's for over a month and gotten settled, I decided it was time to try and potty train Charlotte. (Yikes.) She'd been going pee and poop in the potty (on her Elmo seat) for a couple months on and off.....and thoroughly enjoying getting her "potty treats" (M&M's) and doing her "potty dance" (pee pee on the potty, pee pee on the potty). So I figured we'd give it a whirl.
The first two days in underwear, she peed her pants about 5 times. She was throwing major fits about not wanting to try and go on the potty. Things were not looking good. By Sunday night I'd decided it wasn't worth the battle, and we'd go back to diapers Monday morning. Well Monday morning she woke up with a dry diaper and sat right on the potty and peed and pooped. (Now how can I go back to diapers after that?!?) Since then she has done AWESOME! Soooo glad we stuck it out. We're now a month later, and she is pretty much a done deal. No accidents, dry all night and naps, just pretty much DONE. Now of course I've probably just jinxed myself....but seriously, SO nice!! She potty trained much like Aubrey.....just easy. And believe me, we had one of the other kind (I won't mention his name). But just happy to have that hurdle crossed. YAY Charlie Bell!! And look at her in those undies.....oh my goodness, so cute.
On a side note, Charlotte is obsessed with my mom's puppies Ricky and Lucy. We could be in trouble....we may have a pet lover.....ugh.
