Pumpkins & Halloween

The Sunday before Halloween we finally got around to painting our pumpkins!  We added a few embellishments to our painting this year, and I think they turned out great!  Charlie's "smiles" and poses for pictures lately are cracking me up....

And then the big day/night arrived!  Aubrey had a great time at her school Halloween party and parade.  (Side note: She brought home a paper from school a couple days before Halloween that had a picture she drew of herself in her costume and wrote that the reason she was most excited to be a witch was so she could wear makeup.....not sure where she got that idea, but of course I had to oblige!).
Then we rushed home, ate some dinner, changed into our costumes (much to my surprise Charlotte put on her costume with minimal crying and kept it on ALL night!), took a few pictures, set out some candy, and headed over to Scott and Jenn's to trick or treat with our Evans' cousins again this year.  That was really fun, and the kids got a good, reasonable amount of candy.  It took Charlotte about 1 house to figure out that if she went up to the door with the other kids and held her sack out, people would give her CANDY!  She kept saying, "More, more!"  So cute.  We then hit a few houses in our neighborhood, passed out a little candy, and headed to bed (it was a school night you know).  The weather was super nice....in the 60's that day.  All in all, a very successful Halloween!!
