Beth and I had been thinking for a while about planning a vacation to celebrate Brian and Chris turning 40 this year! We finally decided on Hawaii, and got it all booked. My mom agreed to stay with the kids, and before we knew it, March was here and our trip began!! We flew out early on March 1. We flew to California, had a little layover, then a 6 hour flight to Kauai. That flight seemed SUPER long! I was very glad when we landed. Our first stop was Costco! We loaded up for the week and headed to our condo. We stayed at a condo in the Waipouli Beach Resort. The resort was awesome! It is on the east side of the island in the town of Kapaa. We didn't spend a ton of time at our resort, but the little we did was really nice....awesome pools and hot tubs, fun restaurants, and right on the beach. I also really liked the location of our resort on the island. It made it so we could explore the north, west, and south sides without too much travel time. It was perfect!
Here's our Day 1....travel and finally making it there! Btw, Brian brought along one of the kids' Lego stormtroopers, Rex, so we could chronicle the trip for the kids!
