And then the day was here. Christmas Day!! Santa left 3 little presents in the kids' room this year under their little tree and then turned the lights on their tree, which Aubrey noticed at 4 AM. She promptly woke up the other two to tell them about this exciting event! So after opening those presents at 4 in the morning, they say they went back to sleep...sort of. But at 7:01 they were down in our room to wake us up! And the fun began....
As I mention every year, I LOVE CHRISTMAS MORNING! The sleepy-eyed present opening and excited squeals, the surprised faces and mounds of wrapping paper, the playing and eating and more present opening. And then kids disappear to play and play and play! It's the best.
After a fun, quick morning we headed over early to my mom's this year because they were flying out to San Diego that evening. So everybody put on some new Christmas clothes and we headed over for lunch and more present opening at Grandma's! Such a fun day and always makes me so grateful for family and for everything that we have.
