A wonderful Thanksgiving has come and gone. Grandma Lyn and Grandpa Tom came to town this year. The kids had a TON of fun playing with them! Aubrey and I had a few projects lined up to do with Grandma Lyn. She and Aubrey have made it a tradition to do "Thanksgiving projects" together. So this year, we made little turkey cookies to put at everyone's place and edible acorns to help decorate the table. And Aubrey (completely on her own) came up with the cutest little turkey name tags for everyone. We were busy! We also stole an idea to paint a tree and give everyone leaves to write what they're thankful for on. Then after dinner Aubrey read the leaves and we tried to guess who wrote each leaf. It turned out really cute! This year also marked the first year (in a LONG time) that we haven't had a baby or even a kid at the "big" table. All five cousins are officially at the kids' table!!!
We had a wonderful dinner that everybody helped prepare, so it wasn't even stressful. And we just got to enjoy the long weekend and take some time to reflect on all of the MANY things we're thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!

Aubrey's turkeys are really adorable!! Looks like you all had a great week. I like the thankful tree idea, too. May need to steal that one! I'm also glad to see the aprons making an appearance! :)
