Fall soccer 2012 has come to an end! Aubrey and Carson both had great seasons, and really enjoyed playing. The weather held out, and it was really nice almost every game. But I think we were all ready for the end.....7 weeks is just about right!
Carson played with the same two boys, Aiden and Jacob, from last year and they added one girl, Rielle. Brian coached again, and they were the Wizards! They had reversible jerseys this year, so some games they were blue and some red. They are still 3 on 3 and are on the small fields (for one more season). The three boys play especially well together and little Rielle was a fun addition. Carson started the season off strong, but fizzled out a bit the last couple games. When he plays well, he is really fun to watch! Most games they beat the other team pretty handily. And of course it's always fun to get lots of snacks and a trophy at the end. Way to go Wizards!
Aubrey returned to her same team from last year too, with a couple new players. The Purple Panthers consisted of: Aubrey, Katie B., Shelby, Katie P., Paige, JuliAnn, Chloe, and Josie. Brian was the assistant coach again, with Coach Barno as the head coach. They stepped it up to two practices per week (ouch!), a bigger field with goalies, line judges, and a referee. The big time. She really enjoyed it! And she mostly played really well! They had a couple Friday evening games, which were tough after a long week of school....especially since she's really still adjusting to school for a full day. She REALLY wanted to try out goalie, and got her chance for one quarter of each of the last two games.....and she was pretty good too....much braver than I would have thought! And check out those awesome PINK trophies! Way to go Panthers!
It looks like we now have our Tuesday/Thursday evenings and Saturdays back for a while. I know Mom and Charlotte are very happy! However, as weird as it seems now, I know Spring season will be here before we know it.....
