Charlotte Jane is ONE YEAR OLD!!

What a year!!  Can NOT believe it's been a year, but what a year!  A look back.....

And here is our girl in her last month of being a "baby."  The 12th month!!  Let's just say she is moving and she is loving it!  She loves to pick stuff up and just walk it around the house.....that is her entertainment these days.  She can also make a MESS quite quickly.  She is starting to rival her brother and sister in that area.....yikes.  She in now sporting two new teeth.....bottom front two.....so cute.  I think Charlotte may have whined and cried more this month than all other eleven put together!  She is a one year old.  She now has an opinion and is staring to know what she wants......and voicing her objections if she doesn't get it.  (NO, not my sweet, sweet baby!!)  She is still having some issues with eating "real" food.....lots of gagging and throwing up!  If Aubrey and Carson see her gagging, they immediately hide under the table to avoid having to witness the puking!  It's quite gross.  But, she's making improvements and I'm sure will get the hang of it.  Toward the end of the month we starting mixing in whole milk to her bottles......and I am happy to report that she is now all the way OFF formula!!  Weaning from the bottle is next up.  She is defintely starting to understand us more.....will point to her nose, gives kisses when asked, and knows what bye bye and night night mean.  I'm so excited for the year to come.....they really start to become little people! 

11-12 months.....

Things I want to remember about Charlotte at 1 year:

• When I'm putting her to bed I hold her and hum You are my Sunshine while she snuggles up to me, sucks her two middle fingers on her right hand, and twirls her hair with her left hand.  Sometimes I don't want to lay her down..... 
• She can switch off being a mommy's girl/daddy's girl.....all depends on the day.  She does, however, often cry when Brian leaves.
• Her brother and sister absolutely ADORE her!  I love watching them together.  It's been so fun to see how excited they get at every new thing Charlie does.  Having older kids really makes every milestone so exciting.
• Her current nicknames are:  Charlie, "Sharlie," Charlie Bell, Charlie Jane, Janie, Baby Girl, Babe, and Babes.  For some reason her nicknames haven't gotten as crazy as with A and C.
• When she's drinking her bottle, she holds it with one hand and holds my finger with the other.
• She has been the BEST baby!  I know I've said this before, but I didn't know "easy" babies existed before her.  That doesn't mean we're in for trouble later, right?!?
• She has completed our family.  Even though Aubrey thinks it's "not fair" that some other families get more than three babies, three is our lucky number.  It's been such an exciting and wonderful year for our family!  We love you Charlotte Jane!!
