Wow! What a fun and crazy holiday season! I had real intentions of posting all the Christmas festivities as December went on, but as you can see it's all ending up in one GIANT post. Oh well, here goes.....
Aubrey was SO excited to get out the Christmas decorations and had the most fun helping put ornaments on the tree. She loved looking back at all her ornaments from years past.
Carson pretty much just turned his ornaments into "guys" and played with them!
Aubrey's Christmas preschool performance was up next. Doesn't she look grown up!!
She had been practicing all her songs for weeks at school and home and was so excited when the big night arrived.
She sang her heart out. I don't think she missed one word or corresponding action! It was so cute!
Listening to Pastor Tom's message.....

After the performance by the giant tree in the church.
And with Carsey....

Aubrey and I made these cute reindeer candy canes for her preschool class this year.

Let the baking begin!! Aubrey and Carson were both excited this year about "making and delivering treats to our friends!" So one weekend we baked, and baked, and baked. (We seriously ran the dishwasher 6 times in 2 days!)

And out making our deliveries. (I'm loving Aubrey's crazy poses these days!)
Both kids loved reading and watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas this year! How cute is this from one of our nights of reading?!

And here's the spread! It seems like we add a couple friends each year......this year we delivered to 13 houses!

And yes, that is my son in shorts and snow boots. The kid refuses to wear pants, and I've given up trying or caring.....

Aubrey and Carson got in on the tradition this year of making doughnuts with Grandma. Ok, so they couldn't do a whole lot....but they had a great time!

Even the teenagers got in on the action!

And the best part!

One day during the break we continued our tradition of making gingerbread houses. Aubrey had talked about making our houses all month and she did have a good time; however, her perfectionist personality makes these projects a little difficult because they never quite turn out how she sees them in her head. Carson actually decorated more than he ate this year.....although he still managed to sneak quite a bit!

The finished products....

And forcing Carson into the picture.....

Next up is Christmas Eve Eve (or as Uncle Chris has started calling it, Christmas Adam). This is soup and bread bowls at my mom's. After being absent last year for the first time ever, my Grandma and Grandpa Andersen came up this year. It was so fun having them here!

Aubrey was very excited to get to wear her sparkly outfit again!

Posing by Grandma's tree.

Trying to get them to smile. Brian and I have started pretending to give each other "wet willies" while the other person is taking the picture in an attempt to get real smiles. It usually ends up with them laughing, but not looking anywhere near the camera! Still pretty darn cute.

And can't leave out Evans baby #3! Here we are at almost 35 weeks!

(Of course I didn't manage to get even one picture with them.....dang!)
We forced Carson into pants and a sweater for the occasion....

Before we got started with dinner, a surprise visitor showed up at the door! Carson answered and was very shocked to see SANTA!

Aubrey caught a glimpse and quickly ran away.

Carson was quite excited!
Each kid taking their turn with Santa. Both were a little nervous, thankfully Santa called Carson up first so Aubrey could see him go. But they were both very pleased to get a present and a candy cane!

Carson told him he wanted Ironman and a Bumblebee head (the Transformer, not the insect).

Aubrey stuck with the pink light saber.

Yeah, new pajamas!
Buzz Lightyear!!

Thanks Santa!

Carson took his bowl and dumped it all in one spot.

Aubrey spent about 10 minutes making sure every square inch of the yard was covered.

Then after a bath the kids got to open their present from each other. They were SO excited!

Thanks Santa!
The next night on Christmas Eve, we went to the family church service at Friendship Celebration. It was very nice. Then we headed over to my mom's for tamales.....yum!
We made sure we got home in plenty of time to sprinkle our reindeer dust!

Aubrey got a Barbie with pink hair that flies, and Carson got a Storm Trooper! Aubrey had been feeling her package for weeks and guessed that it was a Barbie......apparently Carson had also told her!

I love his reaction! He was seriously so excited!
Look at that face!

Next is opening the calendar door. The kids didn't forget one day all month. It's amazing how exciting a little piece of candy can be!

Can't forget cookies for Santa!

Taken sometime after Santa's visit!

And finally, Christmas morning!! Normally the rule at our house is Aubrey can't get up until her clock starts with a 7. So when she came in at 6:25 I sent her back to her room. However, at about 6:40 I started to feel guilty, so Brian went and told them we could get up!

Let the craziness begin!

Carson would have seriously been happy with 3 presents. All he wanted to do is PLAY with his new "guys!" It was superheroes and Star Wars for Carson this year! (Brian has really taken their interest in Star Wars and run with it!!) Aubrey was much more into the opening this year. She was tearing through present after present in a hurry. She did get her pink light saber and lots of other "girl" stuff......pretend food, art set, princess everything, clothes, and an Easy Bake oven. They must have been on the nice list this year!

Mom and Dad did pretty well too. Electronics and more electronics for Brian. Some good kitchen stuff, a GPS, and new boots for me!
The aftermath....
After a couple rounds of present opening, we had to stop for some breakfast. Singing Happy Birthday to Jesus with our pecan cinnamon ring!

The rule at Grandma's is one granchild opens at a time. It took a while to get back around to Carson!

After some lunch and naps, we headed over to my mom's for more fun!
Anxiously waiting for more presents!!

The kids were very anxious to get back home to all their new toys! They were a little hopped up....

Merry Christmas 2010!

Holy moly, that was long! That must have taken hours! But such fun and cute pictures. It looks like you all had a great Christmas!!
It's probably pregnancy hormones, but the picture of Carson with his hand on your belly made me choke up! Soooo sweet.
