Happy Birthday Little Dude!

I can't believe my little Carson is one year old today!! Although I can't even imagine our lives without him, in some ways it seems like just yesterday that we were driving to the hospital (in snow) at 5:30 a.m. while on the phone frantically calling people since he was a whole week early! After a fairly quick delivery, though it didn't seem quick at the time, our Mr. Boo was born....all 9 pounds 10 ounces of him.....did I mention no time for pain meds.....oh, anyway. With his reflux, breath-holding spells, temper tantrums, etc. Carson hasn't always been what you would call an "easy" baby. But he's always had a smile that could melt you! He started laughing around 3 months and it's the loudest, funniest, belly laugh you've ever heard. He has wanted to be on the move since birth. He's been walking for several months already, and now he mostly just runs! He loves his sister. They love to chase each other around the house....sometimes I don't think they know who is chasing who! He started sucking his thumb at about 3 months old and hasn't stopped! He has a "magic" blanket that he sleeps with, and all he has to do is see even a corner of that soft, green blanket and his thumb immediately goes in his mouth. It is, however, the only time you can get him to cuddle with you! He is all boy and loves to climb, stack blocks, throw and kick balls, swing his bat, and slide down the slide. He absolutely loves to be outside and I can't wait to see him go this summer. As I sit here and cry typing this post, I am so happy our little tooty (as Aubrey calls him) joined our family one year ago today. We love you buddy!
