So in the course of setting up this Blog thingy, I have come to several realizations:
1. Someday Google will actually own the world. I set up this blog on a site owned by Google, and uploaded pictures to photo management site owned by google from a program downloaded from Google. I then added video to the blog from a sight that, you guessed it, is owned by Google. And did you hear that Google just released a phone that will allow you to edit and update your blog anywhere in the world. You get the idea. Don't get me wrong, I am not against Google owning the world. They have realized that they can make a heck of a lot more money by giving us common folk some very cool
2. My kids will never like Star Wars as much as I do. Now, when I say Star Wars, I am really referring to all the stuff that I push on my kids that aren't nearly as cool as I think they are. This includes the cartoons I liked as a kid, the music I listen to, the sports teams that I follow and of course the movies I grew up with. As you can see from the pictures I have taken it to a whole new level. Forcing my daughter to wear a Star Wars shirt, and putting my son into a Social Distortion onesy at the age of 3 months. When my daughter finally sees Star Wars, there is no way she will like it, even if she does manage to sit through the whole thing. And I hate my parents music, so why would my kids like the stuff I listen to? And let's be honest, Social Distortion really only has about three good songs. Now, don't get me wrong, I will continue to push this stuff on my kids. Right now, they just get excited about it because I get excited about it. Someday they will let me know what a dork I am, but until then bring on the Decepticons and Autobots.
3. Steph and I are going to make terrible bloggers. Here are the reasons why:
- We think we're funny-how many of you have had to sit through a Friends joke?
- I take way to long to tell a story-Have you seen the length of this post?
- Steph is a perfectionist-She rewrote her first post at least 4 times
- I like things in lists-Hello, this is a list within a list
- We worry about leaving someone out-Oh no, who's blog did we forget to reference
- We worry about hurting someones feelings-Will my parents get mad because Neil Diamond sucks?
- My ADD-I started this post 6 hours ago, watched the game, made a playlist, checked my email, did the dishes, etc.
- I'm a procrastinator-just ask about the letter for Aubrey's baby book.
Well, if you made it this far through the post, you should probably reevaluate how you spend your time. But it was my first time so thanks for sticking it out. I promise I will try to shorten them up from now on.

Welcome to the world! (I say that like my blog has been up and running for more than a week). Oh well. But seriously, very cute blog. And funny! I've been laughing all morning about Brian's post! Good stuff...
I love it...welcome to the blogging world and I look forward to visiting often. Thanks for including us on your blog list so our feelings wouldn't get hurt! :)
I take back the comment I made to Steph about your stuff being lame. You're pretty good! And yes, when your little ones are teenagers, they do think you're a dork but that makes forcing it upon them that much more fun. And FYI, Neil Diamond doesn't suck :>
Brian
All this time I thought you loved
