We decided to skip the crowds and ridiculous price tag of the big pumpkin patch/corn maze/amusement park this year. Instead, we went out to a little farm called the Berry Ranch. We went on a hay ride out to their pumpkin fields and picked a couple pumpkins. It was fun. It was a beautiful day and nice little Sunday activity. (I'm not sure we have the kids convinced it was "better" than the Farmstead, however.) Side note: About 30 minutes after we got home it started pouring rain and hailing!!!
But they got some great pumpkins! Then we headed home to bust out the paint and craft supplies, and the kids had a blast decorating their pumpkins. They turned out super darling and the kids were pleased. Bring on Halloween!
