Coming fresh off a season of indoor soccer, Carson was ready to go for outdoor spring soccer this year. Due to some serious disorganization by PAL, Brian ended up not getting his returning team this time. So he and Carson were put with a new team. And boy was it a challenging team. One of the boys had some pretty serious issues and took a lot of Brian's time and attention. Lots of silliness. Several of the boys had never played before. It was a great learning experience! :) But Carson started the season strong....I think he scored about 10 goals the first game! Made it look easy. And then he really just fizzled out. I don't know if it was his weird team? Or he was burned out? But some games he'd decide he wanted to play, and he'd do great. Others, not so much. But he ended with a strong game, and is already talking about next fall! Brian will not, however, be asking this team to return with him.
Charlotte discovered an old jersey and loved wearing it to the games! :) And yes, she's already talking about playing next fall....
After taking last fall season off of soccer, Aubrey decided she wanted to play again. She wasn't able to get back on her same team, but she ended up getting on a team with her bestie Addison and with a coach that is a friend of Brian's. She loved playing! She was always excited for games (and even practices). I think she improved a lot over the season and was scoring a couple goals each game! She also decided she likes to play goalie. She played at least one quarter every game....scary for me to watch! I don't think this team will be returning together in the fall, so we'll see, but she definitely wants to keep playing (for now)! Go Cosmos!
