Halloween and Carson 18 months....

Where did October go? Another Halloween has come and gone. Here are the highlights.....
We started the month off with Aubrey's first field trip with her preschool to the Pumpkin Patch.

First was the hayride....

Next, the hay maze.....

She searched and searched until she found the perfect pumpkin....

We also got to check out the ponies.....

We had a really good time!

The kids both had a great time making Halloween cookies.....LOTS of sprinkles and candycorn....
(Don't those look disgusting?!)

This year we decided to forgo the carving, and paint pumpkins instead. It was really fun. The kids could participate a lot more and they really turned out cute (at least the kids' did, I can't say the same for mine and Brian's).

I could not get Aubrey to add any other color!!

Finally, the big night! Both kids had been battling fevers and colds, so they weren't at 100%, but they still had a great time trick or treating. Aubrey had talked her cousin Callie into dressing up as a "pink kitty" with her. So all Aubrey wanted to do was trick or treat with Callie. Thankfully, her cousin played along! Carson quickly learned that all you have to do is knock on people's door, say "trick or treat," and they give you candy. He couldn't believe it! By the end of the night he was completely hopped up on sugar!

I realize this should probably be a new post.....but I'm lazy.
We took Carson's 18 month pictures last weekend. They turned out really darling! He is at such a fun age. He's talking so much, I swear he learns a new word or two everyday. He tries to copy everything he sees, which isn't always a good thing, but luckily he has a pretty good example to follow in his big sister (mostly). He's starting to get into the "pretend play." He and Aubrey come up with some interesting games! He likes to color, throw and kick any and every type of ball, and drive his cars and trucks all over the house. He still loves to be outside (although the weather hasn't been great for it), and he is still my little blanket-kid. It's weird, he doesn't like to sit still for long, but he loves to cuddle and hold his blankets, lovies, and stuffed animals (of course his favorite "magic" green blanket that he sleeps with, his bear Moxie, his dog Spike, his monkey, his lovie bear, lovie dog, and regular lovie). He is building quite the entourage!
I just can hardly look at the kid without smiling......love you buddy!

He'll definitely let you know if he's unhappy!

Seriously, look at that face!

Oh, and also, did you realize that Carson is either eating or holding candy in every Halloween picture? I think that's funny.
