First, my sister and her family come to Boise every summer for a couple weeks. We look forward to their visit all year. But seriously, the day after they arrive we start our calendar of events and activities.....and it doesn't stop until they leave! I call it our "Boise vacation" because we cram all the fun things to do around town in about two weeks. So, here goes.....
Trip to the Library for story time...
This was a new activity we added this year. We went to Build-a-Bear and the kids all got to choose their own bear. Of course, Aubrey chose a pink bear (for those who don't know she is obsessed with the color pink) and she named him Teddy. Interestingly, her cousin Ella ended up with the exact same bear!
BOWLING.....always fun. It was a little torturous for Carson though because he is obsessed with balls and couldn't really throw the bowling balls quite like he's used to.

My grandparents came to town to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. We had a great night out at Louie's....thankfully in the back room so the kids could do their thing away from the other customers. We made a DVD of pictures throughout their married life and of all the kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. We showed it to them that night.

One of the trips to the park. Carson is getting very brave.

The zoo....It was the perfect weather that day and we had a great time. Every time Carson saw an animal he would start kicking, squealing, and pointing. It was so cute.

We seriously wore those poor babies out!!
Gotta do the day at Boondocks (now Wahooz, but I think that's lame). Aubrey and Carson stuck pretty much to the "kiddie cove" and arcade games. Aubrey was thrilled to cash in her tickets and get a candy necklace and some tootsie rolls! We also did Roaring Springs one day, but I had my hands way too full to take any pictures! But I do have to say Aubrey was quite the little dare-devil this year.

Getting spoiled by Grandma.....

Eagle Island.....fun in the sand.
The Discovery Center...

The paddle boats...

The paddle boats...
Lots of swimming at Grandma's.... Check out Carson's new trick!
Floating the Boise River....
We chickened out and got out a little earlier this year (Carson and Ruby were very thankful).
But still very fun.

I am worn out just looking at all the pictures! Looks like the kids (and grown ups) had a pretty great time. By the way, no mini carts at Farmer's Market...
Man...those were some fun days! You have some great pictures that I'll have to get from you. I especially like the one of the girls dressing up. Those are quite the outfits! And I'm glad you captured at least one picture of Carson crashed out in the car. Not only did we force those poor babies onto a raft on the freezing cold Boise River, but we really did wear them out! Wish we could get together more often!!
