Happy Birthday Monkey!

I'm a few days late....but on Saturday our little girl turned three years old! I can't believe it! It seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating her second birthday only weeks after her new baby brother was born and had rocked her little world! We had an interesting couple of months after that.....however, she adjusted to our new life fairly quickly and still adores her little brother. Aubrey can be very quiet and a bit shy when around other people. I've always said she is an observer....likes to check everything out before getting involved. However, she can also be quite social. She loves to play with friends and is quick to show perfect strangers her talent of touching her tongue to her nose and licking her elbow! She is definitely a "daddy's girl." She looks forward to the weekend all week long just to spend time with her dad. She has two imaginary friends named Abby and Bingo. We joke that Abby is her alter ego because Abby does a lot of naughty things that Aubrey likes to see our reaction to. She loves to watch movies. Her current favorites are Lion King (which she will happily sing you the songs from), Bambi, Care Bears, and Little Mermaid. She is a very sensitive little girl and can get her feelings hurt easily. She loves to read books and play dress up and is slightly obsessed with the Disney princesses right now. Aubrey has a real sweet tooth and loves candy! She does not like to be wrong and is getting more and more stubborn as time goes on. She loves going to her gymnastics class and is SO looking forward to preschool next fall. She is such a sweet, (mostly) easy-going girl and we are so blessed that she came into our lives three years ago. We love you Monkey!
